I finally got back online after a very long absence. I no longer sell on Etsy but I am selling on Bonanza. Notice I said Bonanza instead of Bonanzle. They changed the name . Any old links to there should still work tho. I have been adding new items along and the inventory is growing. Hopefully sales will pick up for me around the holidays.

I had closed down my booth for a while on Bonanzle to take care of some personal things and now I have reopened. Its so very slow and my sales online have dropped so low. I am contemplating closing down etsy for good because I cant make sales there and if I cant make sales I cant pay fees.

New Year Hopes and Dreams

Hi everyone
Its been some time since I have done anything here. I guess the holidays took their toll on me. I havent posted anything here or done very much in my etsy shop at all. I received a camera and I have been trying to take some better pictures for my items and I think they have turned out pretty well, At least now you can see some details in the items instead of just blurry fuzzy stuff. I am hoping to start a higher end quality section in my shop and hope it and the economy will do well. Times are so tight for everyone right now.
Anyway thats my little addition for right now. I hope to gt back to adding more here as well as in my shop.

It Was A Merry Christmas

It has been a while since I have updated anything on my blog so I think it must be time. The last thing I wrote was about a good friend that was having a really hard time. Well, Santa Clause was very good to her because she got some help for herself and her son. It was a good Christmas for me because now I am not as worried about her as I was. Its so very good to hear a good thing during the holidays with all the strife and mean things going on. If only the good hearts would stand up the rest of the year our world would be better off. Happy new Year everyone

Hi everyone.

Today I have felt very low. I suffer from depression and some times it really is hard to fight. I see threads in the Etsy forums asking for help for this person and that. I would like to help in some way, but like so many others the times are just too bad and there's not much to spare. I have a very dear friend that is a widow with a 12 yr old son that desperately needs help. she makes too much to get food stamps, she's on a waiting list for a heating assistance program and she and her son wont have a much of a Christmas this year. I so desperately want to help her and her son, I had hoped that I could send her some help with some sales from my shop, but that has dried up also.

Just tonight my husband hit me with the fact he is having to take another paycut to help the company he drives for make it thru the winter. Freight is slow and he's been gone on the road almost a month now trying to keep us going. Jobs are scarce here so I stay home and scrape and try to make a little with my jewelry sales. I know everyone is having a hard time nowdays, and I dont want pity or help. But if you know of anyway I can help my friend out Please let me know. She lives in PA and she really needs some help.

Sorry to vent all this on my readers, I just needed to write it down . Have a great night all.

Well, with the government finally deciding we are in a recession everyone is trying to find ways to save money. Times are hard for us all. I made my own business cards yesterday and they didnt turn out too badly. I think each time I print a sheet I will feature a different piece of jewelry on my card. Just a quick hello to everyone, I wont be online and writing much this week. I hope I can get a minute to do a featured shop or 2 tho. My daddy had gall bladder surgery yesterday and they kept him overnight because of his age. Hes 85 and came thru with flying colors and we brought him home today. He is doing great and was so happy to get home to see his cats lol. He has very little pain and after a few days of taking it easy his doctors says he should be back as good as before.

Everyday things just keep getting harder. The economy is terrible, everywhere people are losing their jobs, thier homes and some even their lives. As I struggle along I cling to the hope that things will get better and I wont lose my home, I already lost my job. Luckily my hubby still has his. I hope that even as bad as things are there will be good things to see and share every day and I say my prayers every night in hope they will be heard.

Please say a prayer tonight for everyone in need, and say a prayer for my daddy who faces surgery next week.

So far I have managed to survive on etsy for 9 months. Most have been really lean months and I hope the holidays will help my shop out. I have a grand total of 50 sales and I struggle to get each new sale. I am by no means a success but I hope I can try to help other etsians if I can. I would like to feature shops just starting out or shops that have been there awhile but not making many sales. These are hard times and we all can use some help. If you know of some struggling shops, let me know and I will try to feature them. I can't buy from many people, but maybe I can help someone else get a few sales.

Lost on Etsy

I crash landed on the Island of Etsy 10 month ago with nothing but my jewelry to sustain me. After the initial fear and shock wore off I set about creating my way of survival on this island. There were others here, I knew I had to make friends with them if i was to survive. I set up my shop and set about looking for ways to carry on until I finally am rescued and can say I survived. I entered the jungle known as the forums.
When I entered the forum jungle I had no idea what awaited me. Every where there were shops set among the trees and foliage of this jungle, each selling something different. Many had fabric items for sale, there were ceramics,there were wooden items, A vast array of beautiful things cause my eye. Then I became aware that there seemed to be alot of jewelry in this jungle. The more I advanced, the more I saw, the more I saw the more afraid I became. How was I to survive in this bright sparkling place.
